UB Summer String Workshop 2017

Summer Strings Workshop

The UB Summer Strings Workshop will be hosted by UB String Faculty member Jonathan Golove (cello), along with Workshop colleagues Andrea Cone (violin), Leanne Darling (viola), Rachel Lauber (conducting), Donna Lorenzo (viola), and Moshe Shulman (violin).

The workshop will include hourly lessons, chamber music coaching, master classes, contemporary music workshop, string orchestra rehearsals, faculty recital, student recitals and string orchestra concert. Each student will receive at least one 60-minute lesson during the course of the workshop. Extra lessons can be arranged at additional cost. Selected students and groups will be performing in the student solo/chamber music recitals.

The workshop's goal is to expose players and music educators to the many facets of string playing in our current era. Through this six-day course, participants will be able to work intensively and improve their skills in solo, chamber music and orchestral playing. A certificate will be awarded to all participants who complete the course successfully.
